Olympic Bonus for Cleaners

On June 16th, 2012 By

The train cleaners who work for West Coast main line will receive Olympic bonuses. The amount of money everyone is going to be paid is £400.

According to the Rail Maritime and Transport union this is something which has never happened before. We remind you that the train cleaners went out for a strike several months ago demanding for higher payments. The results from the strike were not exactly what the cleaners expected.

The general secretary Bob Crow admits that the train cleaners are usually not included in such deals for receiving bonuses. Now the workers who take part in the transportation in the city of London are those who have won more than one deal for bonuses during the Olympic Games.

Still some of the bus drivers said they prefer to go out for a strike again instead of getting a payment of £500. What will be the consequences, we are going to find out soon.
