Cleaners Play Important Role in London 2012

The Olympic Games in 2012 are coming and the news about them become more and more interesting. The last one that appeared in the newspapers lately was about the important part which the cleaning companies will play during the games. The cleaners will be watching for suspicious signs of doping cheats during the event.

Except with floor cleaning, the cleaning technicians will be busy with other tasks including monitoring of the behaviour of the players. For this purpose the sanitizing staff will attend special training which is going to prepare them for the upcoming tasks. This way the chances of catching doping cheats is much bigger.

What made the anti-doping services to plan this type of research was the important part which the cleaners during the previous games played. For example, there were materials proving the usage of doping, found by the cleaning staff during the games in 2002. While removing the rubbish some of the cleaners found blood transfusion in one of the rented houses, which later leaded to more serious actions by the anti-doping medics.

Obviously in London 2012, it will be difficult to be a cleaner. The people who were dealing with the upholstery cleaning up to now, will have to be competent enough to recognize suspicious behaviour and signs of doping cheating next year. Hopefully their salaries will get higher.
