Halloween is approaching. Tonight is the night when all your friends will dress in silly scary costumes. What is the aftermath – wax trails everywhere, spilled drinks and some strange stains caused by the pranksters. Here is how to avoid the mess and make your home Halloween clean in time.

You need to outsmart the kids and all the villains, so before you dress as your favourite horror movie character, think of the all the improbable pranks and tricks they can play on you. It is a smart decision to park your car in the garage or hide it in some way. Use car cover or you risk having your car polished with egg and some other undesirable substances like shaving cream for example.

Deep cleaning your home before and after the Halloween party is a must. Pre-Halloween cleaning is a must, as you can protect your precious belongings and prevent the mess from taking over your home.

As for all parties, decoration is of the essence, get into a Halloween spirit and create the atmosphere.  Orange and black are the colours. Draw and cut out some paper bats. Use black paper and and hang them on thread. Put some on the chandelier and go for the carved pumpkin lantern. Carve one together with friends but be preventive and put a nylon sheet under the pumpkin. Do some deep cleaning, clean well as this orange veg can cause brown stains on your carpets and other expensive furniture.

Silly string spraying is a great amusement, but have in mind that you have to clean it afterwards. Avoid spraying on glass, panted and varnished surfaces. Wet silly strings can be removed by hand just get a paper towel and take them off. If you are too busy having fun, and the strings get dry, look for oily stains. Oils and other petroleum based stains are removable. Use disinfectant wipes and rely on their alcohol content to remove the traces.
